Trace Elements
Just wondering who supplements their systems with trace elements.

forgot "No-I rely on the Ca reactor"

calcium reactor
Although the calcium reactor does provide some trace elements, I don't believe it provides a comprehensive range of all the trace elements.

I add Kalk, 2 part baking/washing soda and magnesium. I used to add trace elements but found it more economical to switch to reef crystals and ditch the trace elements.

20% water change every 2 weeks and calcium reactor is all for me.

For this discussion, we should probably define "trace elements".... Myself, I don't consider Ca to be a trace element. It would be element number ONE, but as soon as you have that under control one starts to question what else is being depleted.
In my case, I've been experimenting with some trace additives. I've not noticed any change in my system, but I also do water changes so they might not be required. |
I don't think CA is a "Trace Element"
I think what Chin is getting at is mag, Stronium, Iodine etc. But no I don't add anything other than water changes and CA Reactor J |
