This is the sump we are constructing. Could anyone give a comment on this -- before my husband really glues this thing and can't be undone??

thanks

btw- this is a 33gal tank that we are using for the sump.

Jeanna, unless that first baffle on the far right is part of the structural integrity of the sump I'd axe it and create more room for the refugium area. Otherwise it looks great.

You mean, where the intake water comes in- and where our hang-on skimmer is.. you'd axe the closest baffle to the edge? So there would be only 2 baffles on each side?
No- none of these baffles are any part of the structure of the tank.

Yup that's the one. How much flow are you putting through your sump? How big is the sump?

Troy- we have a 33 gal tank (reg tall one) and the return pump we have is MAG 18 (1800 gph, I believe)
I fixed the image- is this more correct?

Hello,

Troy's suggestion is a good one. You may or may not need the first baffle depending on a variety of factors, needs, wants, etc. But in your case, without one is most certainly a better choice.
