Fuzzy Finger Syndrome

OUCH!
Got my first feel for bristol worm "sting" if you will. Damn things. I've had a reef for 3 years this november and I've never had a single bristol worm. Now I have an infestation. Sould I be looking at getting an arrow crab to get rid of them, or what, I'd like to see what others are doing.

Are you talking about Bristle worms perhaps

A Sixline wrasse is suppose to help control them as well.

I never saw my Sixline touch them, however, I did see a CBS eat them, but it is not their first choice. They have to be hungry.

I liked the idea of Bristol worms......you know the brit worms with the funny accents ;-)
Just teasing!

Try to cut down on the amount you feed.
Less leftover food means less bristle worms..

When I first got in I panicked whenever I saw one... If you have a monster one that is causing problems then catch it and dispose of it carefully... they DO sting... but unless they are causing problems I would leave them.... they tend to not be harmful and are good detritus consumers...
