Pump for a UV sterilizer?

Which pump should I use on an aqua UV sterilizer?
I have no idea....a friend loaned me one to use on my reef tank and I don't know what strength of pump I should use on it for it to sterilize efficiently...too fast will make it's efforts redundant...

What do you guys use?

If it's an 18w UV, probably something in the 100g-200g/hr range should do.

Each UV has a rated flow to kill what ever you’re trying to kill. You might have to do some research regarding your specific UV and the proper flow rate.
Or do like most people and just hook it up and pretend it's doing something useful.

depend on how many watt of your uv and what purpose for it, kill algae or kill white spot?

any slow pump will do , the older the bulb less UV, so go slow flow slow , just enough to Not overheat the UV unit .
