EDITED: All that blood is on the salmon because we lost our fish bonker overboard. We had to cut the gills.

Chrisy I sure do hope you are going to post pictures of all the goodies that were in those bags! Can't wait to see all your new stuff - that looks like one of my trips to the city.

It looks like a nice med. sized salmon. If it has a small adipose fin on top, just in front of the tail, its a type of salmonid (salmon/trout).

Yup it's a smallmouth bass out of Westwood Lake here in Nanaimo. My girls turning into a true angler. She loves to come out on the saltwater with me too, but she's not quite ready for salmon yet. Maybe next year I'll buy her a level wind reel. The thought of putting a knuckle duster in her hands scares me! :eek:
