So can i expect anyone in the reefing community to attend?

Wow ... the responses are overwhelming.

Everyone does know that the Calgary Aquarium Society is NOT limited to freshwater people right? Infact there are quite a few members that do have marine tanks! I will soon be one of them.

Seems to me there is a lot of unsold items here in Calgary that could be sold at this auction. Why not put in some lots! It is better then letting the items sit hoping you get them sold.

Been meaning to make it to one of these one year, will see if I can make it this year. The biggest concern I have about this is that this sort of thing tends to make me want to buy stuff I don't really need :razz:

Bah ... i buy lots i don't need but it is all good! The last auction we had was just too many things (close to 900 items!!!)

at at present we are sitting at about 300ish items for sale. Which is REALLY good since sellers will get top dollar for their items AND it won't take the 8 hours it did last time!

I really hope to see some Calgary Reefers at this thing.

only 6 days to go ... by this time (9:11am) i will probably have arrived and it is my hope that people will start showing up soon droping off their items.

Lets hope i get to meet some of you at this auction.

I will PROBABLY be wearing my chef's jacket for the first part of it but that is still undecided.

Sign up some lots, bring some of your used items in. It's a lot of fun!

Heck ... why not sign up to be a CAS member? Then the reefing community in Calgary will have another place to meet up. Then everyone that keeps a reef or marine tank can talk about what they have, you can even submit great original articles and just have a good time amongst people that are in the hobby just like you. Some may be freshwater keepers, some may be salt water, some may be brackish, but we are ll in this hobby together!

Lets get this auction and the Calgary Aquarium Society back to the standing it once was in the community!
