A reason I'd be afraid to go scuba diving...

Well boys and girls...it's not just sharks you've got to worry about anymore....

Sweet. I've seen that before. Just don't scuba in the Pacific NW then and go to the Tropics.

I think Himself wants one of those.

Yikes. .One Shark/week! That be one hungry Octopus!

Speaking of scuba-diving risk....even snorkeling has made me wonder, sometimes. What if ya stepped on, or put your hand on a Stonefish or something?
That would not be good.

Cheers,

Yikes  I wonder how they moved the octopus into the shark tank in the first place

I was looking for Octopus last week end at about 90 feet I found some dens but alas now luck.
SCUBA is the best and there is only 3 type of sharks in our waters. Now I know if I see one to try and find an Octopus to save me :)

Cheers,

That is why there is a special aquatic shoe that you can wear so you don't have worry about stepping on something while having fun in the water..

I am pretty sure there is many more than that. Or are you talking about down in southern B.C. Here is some off the top of my head. Sixgill Shark, Sevengill Shark, Great White Shark, Basking Shark, Salmon Shark, Blue Shark (my personal favorite) and finaly the Spiny Dogfish. I have seen all of these first hand exept for the Great White and the Basking shark. Dont worry about these guys attacking you though. Six and Seven gill live in deep cold water, eat fish and are scavengers. Great Whites only live on the west coast and you rarely see them. Basking sharks are filter feeders and live on the west coast. I have caught Salmon sharks and they are pretty small (4 feet) and live in cold water on the west coast of the island. Blue sharks are oceanic and live on the west coast. Dogfish well they cant do much more than look at you funny. Thats just to name a few. Sorry if I insulted you Jason McK  . Also where do you go diving?

Matt
