overflow bulkhead. Teflon? or just thread in?

I'm just wondering if I should use teflon or silicon to make the connection of my overflow bulkhead safer. What do people usually do? Should I just thread it in tightly? It has the rubber rings and all. just being paranoid on an important step.. thanks!

Adam, just wet the gasket before tightening...it won't leak.
