Wanted: Battery backup air pumps

I'd like to buy a couple of these air pumps. Has anyone seen them locally?

I don't want the Hagen one.

before you buy it........ you should e-mail them to see if it's a diaphram air pump. I bought a D battery pump like that in Hong Kong a while back...... and it was more of a linear piston pump........ loud as heck.

I'll be going on a LFS tour with Sea Horse on Monday so I'll keep an eye out for one.

Cheers.

I bought the MOPS unit a couple months back, and on Tuesday we had a 1 hour power outage.

It works like a charm ... not sure if I'd call it "silent", but that's the least of my concern when the power is out and keeping the oxygen content up is the prime concern :surprise:

If I used it on a continual basis, the noise could get on my nerves ...

Thanks. I'll get a few from MOPS then.

Just received my PennPlax battery-op pumps. They are much quieter and better built than the Hagen ones. I like it.
