Looking for Live Sand in Calgary or Canada
 

Can anyone suggest where to buy live sand in Calgary or Mail Order in Canada.

JL Aquatics only Special Orders it and you have to get like 50lbs and that is going to cost $250.00.

Can anyone help? No local stores seem to carry it.

No they don't unfortunatly. I tried there today. What they have is not real live sand. Just Sand enhanced with nitrifying bacteria.

How much are you looking for?

It would be cheaper to use "dead" sand and seed it with a few cups of live sand. Im sure you would be able to get a cup or so from a few different people.
