Help! What am I?
Picture this...
http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/20...n_goby_3SM.jpg I look like the Yellow Clown Goby, except I am white... I have black freckles (spots) on my face, 3 black horizontal stripes on each side my body (same 'look' as a 6 line wrasse), and more black freckles (spots) on my tail. I am smaller than an inch. What am I? (unfortunately, variations of "Coral Goby black and white stripe dots" into google did not work.. your help appreciated) |
ok that picture comes up as the reefcentral logo and the fish is a sohal tang
Your fish has the exact same shape as a clown goby?? I think I know exactly which one it is. Where did you get it? I want one!! |

wow, amazing fish. where could a guy find one of those?
|
I've seen them at J&L once and I knew someone that got one from there on a previous occasion. I was tempted but I don't know if they're polyp munchers like their relatives so I took a pass on it. I wish I had gotten it though
|
ohh they are polyp munchers ?
too bad they aren't common, I would really like one of them. Awesome body shape and color. |
well they host in SPS corals and clear away a section of tissue to lay eggs on when breeding or whenever it suits them it seems. The last one I had with SPS didn't munch per se, but the polyps certainly weren't extended very far (probably for fear of being eaten ) and when I removed the goby the polyps returned to normal.

hmm that's neat. also interesting.
maybe one will pop up some day |
yes that's the one.
Thank you.. you are amazing! - Ivy |
