Needed lighting consultant
Due to a good leak in my 20g  I will be setting up a 33g (at least a 33g footprint) my PC is not going to cut it so I am going to build a MH I thinking of a single 250w .........BUT I don't know what parts I need  I will probably get everything from Bartle & Gibson. I know the cords that I need I have done that before on my 400w. I think I need like a M58 ballast? and mogul socket?.......little help please
Maybe this should be in the DYI........maybe a mod could move please |
Murray, you'll need an M58 ballast and that should include a capacitor as well when you buy the ballast. Then you need a ceramic mogul socket, wire merets, misc. wires and possibly a ballast box to put the ballast in. Oh and a bulb and reflector

Contact J&L, I just bought a reto kit, 175w 10K XM bulb, PFO ballast, reflector, mogule socket kit for under 300 including taxes. Just plugged it in and it lloks great, THANKS JACK

personaly I would go with a M80 ballast and a mogal base. you will need a container for the ballast if you want it to look pretty, some wiring and some sort of holder/mount for your mogal socket. Steve |
