I will back up StirCrazys answers. You almost have to shoot them with a super-duper-high-powered-commando-rifle to kill them. :razz: . Unless you get a really sensative one.

If you are meaning tank sizes small guys (3") can live in a 5 gallon. The larger ones like the Pecock Mantis (7") need a 20 gallon. GrimReefers is a great place. They eve have their own Mantis shrimp thread.
