Before and After Interceptor

Well so far I'm another member of the Interceptor Fan Club
Just thought I'd share a few pics. These were the most infested frags I had. It was really rather unsettling seeing all of those red bugs on them, especially the first one

Before use of Interceptor:

Two more treatments to go! Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Man, that infestation on the first coral was bad.

Hope they all start improving.

Looks good so far.

Christy, are you treating the main tank, or did you set up a quarantine tank?

hmm, double post

Marie, I'm treating the main tank. I didn't realize the first frag I put in the tank had the bugs when I restarted it. Then I added a bunch more frags and it was only after that that I realized I had the bugs, mostly on that first frag because it is so pale, and they are pretty obvious on it. It wasn't until the last week or so that the populations have really taken off and that first frag was swamped and I started to see them on other frags as well. With the looks of the frag in that first pic, I decided something had to be done about it (and some interceptor became available to me ).

I have no crabs or shrimp in the main tank so I wasn't as concerned as some, although I was still a bit nervous as to what this stuff would do to my tank. As well it will be interesting to see how the 'pod populations are doing or if there are little carcasses all over the place.

I'm just finishing up the treatment now, added carbon and I'm about to do a water change. I must say, other than the missing red bugs, the tank looks just the same as before I started. I'm hoping to see more polyp extension in those affected frags as a result of the bugs being "gone". Two more treatments to go!
