salt to brackish
what saltwater fish can be converted to brackish? does anyone know of any stores in the lowermainland or vancouver that sell brackish fish
|
Big Als sometimes has brackish.
Don't talk to any of the kids in the back fish room though. The first question I would ask is ....... who here knows the most about fish..... and talk to that person. hth |
Damsels can go brackish as well as chromis.
Mollies like brackish too. Check out this link: http://badmanstropicalfish.com/brackish/brackish.html I had a brackish tank for a while. Some of the fish are pretty interesting. I found it hard to find fish and almost no inverts can go brackish. I had zebra snails and they did quite good. |

I've seen domino damsels in a brackish tank as well as spotted puffers.

Marine fish that can adapt to brackish
You can try the following types of marine fish:
Puffers (Arothron hispidus) Batfishes (Platax spp.) Snappers (Lutjanus spp.) Damselfishes (family Pomacentridae) Catfishes (Plotosus spp.) Seahorses (family Syngnathidae) Read the following link for more specific info: http://users.macunlimited.net/n.monk...kfaq.html#BM1e I found it very informative when I set up my brackish system. Personally, I only have experience converting brackish fish into marine. I always wanted a humbug so I might try this myself... |
Seen a really neat tank with mud skippers plus other fish. Tank was long with a beach rising one on side.
Some brackish sections on WWM http://www.wetwebmedia.com/mudskippers.htm |
i always remember seeing mollys and mono's in brackash systems.
