Reef Fanatic Electronic Ballast
 

Does anyone have any experience with this ballast? I hooked it up last night and tried to fire up my 14000k 250w venture SE bulb... Initially, it'd fire up looking pretty yellow... after a few seconds, the colour would shift and look more normal. However, after a few more seconds, the bulb would flicker, and the colour would go more blue than usual. Eventually, it'd flicker some more, go even more blue, then flicker again and shut off. After a few minutes, the bulb would relight, and the cycle just starts all over again. I just hooked it up again half an hour ago, and its been doing this over and over again ever since.

Hmm, that's strange. Its always fired my DE bulbs (AB 20000K bulbs) as well as my SE Coralife bulbs like a champ. I did notice a color difference in the bulb when I switched to a PFO HQI ballast. Much less blue after I did that.
