Photography Q's
Okay, I just bought a digital camera and I've taken a few pics of our garden, the dog and children.
First question is:
|
Some of the pics I take of my tank are 14 Meg. In a .tiff file format tho. Fully uncompressed. With that said, some of my .jpg files are 5 meg.
just so ya know.. :p The size will depend on the amount of information contained within the file. More info (ie more colours) larger size. |
Troy, if you want to post the pics, then yes, 1.9MB is kinda big. For psoting purposes, you can keep most of the detail while reducing the size.

I take all my pictures at 6 meg and I do keep them at that size also, kinda like keeping the negitives. I thin take them and pic the ones I am going to use and process them for what I want them to be for. ie. if I am posting to the board I usaly knock the size way down and upload the new version, but I do keep all the originals from the camera, even the ones I don't use, in dated files backed up onto a DVD (or 3 of them actualy) so if you are worried about how many pics you can fit on your card but a big one as they are cheep now.
