Ok stupid ?? I bought this powerhead it states max immerse level ( this is all of the pwerhead ) but yet the instructions say it is totaly submersable
so can I sink it or not?

Drop that baby in. I used to worry about that but I dont anymore. I have had several 402's sumbmersed and most people submerse them.

hagen puts "water level" lines on their products to pass safety codes. I believe it's ontario that you're not supposed to have electrical cords immersed in water...something along those lines.

this is what the hagen rep told me when I used to work at a LFS.

I have some 802s submerged in our make up water tubs. In my tanks, though, our Hagens are all at the top providing great aeration.

Same reason the Jager heaters have water levels on 'em.. Some CSA reg. I've dealt with dozens of em over the years and had them fully submerged and abused them terribly. They hold up.
