Bristleworm stealing food from open brain

Yesterday I fed my open brain some mysis, a large (at least 6") bristleworm came out from a nearby rock, climbed over the open brain, and stole the mysis.

I have left my bristleworms alone because they are supposed to be harmless but I understand without feeding the brain (Trachyphyllia sp.) will die.

Anyway I'm considering trapping the bristleworm but want to hear some input on this, I don't want to move the open brain.

Bristleworms will do that. That is why I occasionally get rid of the larger ones. However, I don't think you need to worry about the Brain. I have never target fed mine, and it shows no inclination to die.

Thanks, Bob.

I was thinking of getting a piece of clear tubing and sealing one end and baiting it to make a bristleworm trap.

I just feed a bit extra to feed my bristle worm farm....
