Skimmer Help

I am going to be building a Beckett Skimmer here in a month or 2 and I just had one question for you Pro's out their....

How Long should I make the Neck between the Main chamber and the collection cup

I was gonna make it out of 1" and a half, the main chamber is 24" tall 6" tube 1" intake and a 1" out!!

The one I have made by OA is about 8" I think
