snail died...

hey all, i've just lost a snail in my 10 week old, new but cycled reef tank...question is should i leave it in the tank so that it can be food for other scavengers and it's shell can become a new home for other hermits? or will it adversely affect my water quality to the point i should remove it?
 any input appreciated here!

I ve left tonnes of snails in the tank as food for the crabs...but I guess it depends how many crabs are coming for dinner and the volume of water... But I would say it's fine to leave it in there

One thing I always found was if I had zebra crabs blue legged or what ever and snails the crabs almost always killed some of the snails to get the shells. Next time around I'll be tempted to have a very limited number of crabs but alot of snails. I always found them to be better cleaners than crabs. If you have a large enough tank once it's gone through it's algae bloom phase I'd rather have a fox face or a tang, both would be awesome as long as the tank could handle them.
