Coral attaching to rock
I was wondering what the normal time period is for corals to attach themselves to rock, so that they can be moved together?
|
what kind of coral?
|
There is a Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral, Brown (Sarcophyton sp.), and a Cauliflower Colt Coral (Cladiella sp.).

Colts are difficult to attach but it can take less than a week.
I have had the best success sewing colt frags onto rock with needle and thread, in a week or two you can cut the thread and pull it out. Works better if you leave them in a low-flow area of the tank for the first few days, then bring them out into a brighter higher-flow area. |
Stick them inside a clean tupperware container after you sew them on & leave them for a week or two.

Toadstool muchrooms can be glued if you use enough of it. Its best to wedge them in tight spot in low flow areas so they can plant themselves though.
