SPS Books?

im looking for a book dealing with primarily sps, identifying them by picture, varieties, hardiness, care. maybe even something like a pocket guide.

thanks

There's Corals of the World by Veron which is a 3 volume set.. Probably the most definitive work on stony corals .. like .. EVER. It's more of a coffee table book though, so while you get good coverage of identification, natural history, distribution, et al, you're kind of on your own for captive care unless you supplement with Borneman's book.

WHats a coffee table book? A book so expensive u dont want to get it wet? Or a book that isnt very informative.

I think it means a book which is more eye candy than truly insightful.

a book so big you can screw 4 legs to it and call it a table.

It's a hardcover, expensive book with lots and lots and lots of big pictures. Great, GREAT looking series but you pay the price. King Ed had it a while back and were selling the set for $300 - which is a great price for it.
The info in it is top notch, but like I said, it's not really a hobbyist's book. Captive care isn't covered at all.

J&L Aquatics has the set for $219.
