r/o water

any benefit of using r/o water in freshwater tank?

It depends on your local water conditions and what you want to keep. If your local water is clean but hard and you want to keep rift lake cichlids then I don't see R/O as being needed. However if you want to keep discus then yes R/O would be the ticket.

Agreed on most of that exceopt for the discus. My water is hard and the PH is 7.6 to 7.8 ALL my discus do fine that. I only use R/O for breeding.

Yup for sure, they can be aclimated to hard water but for breeding they need soft soft water, straight R/O is not suitable but with a tiny bit of remineralization they're good.
