I think it will be nearly impossible for you to maintain the kind of stability and water quality the anemone needs in a bucket. Did someone tell you that keeping it in a bucket for a while was a good idea?

The water changes should help, but as far as temp, salinity, oxygenation, PH, and lighting go you're really fighting an uphill battle. Trying to be sensitive to your plight here, but that's not a good place for a carpet.

im also runing an air stone temps good id put it in the sump but i havee a little amonia problem in it from dy off . i am hoping to have the tank together by tommorrow night then he can go back to his home .

That looks like a classic grab for oxygen. Water movement, airstones, and clean water. Good luck!!

air it

Looks like someone is about to loose some money, that sucks

It's a judgment call, I suppose, Aaron.. Can your 150g take it on? If it was me I might consider it. The 230 is probably not going to be all that stable right away.

It's a hardy anemone. I would think the thing right now is to make sure it has access to highly oxygenated water (white with bubbles). If you think the 230 can be made ready today then see how it goes. You have plenty of rock to help combat the ammonia spike?

the 150 has around 200lbs of rock and a 4 to 6 inch sand bed so it could handle the carpet ok id think id have to make a litle room for it .

Why not leave it in the bucket. Drill a bunch of holes in the bucket, keep the Powerhead in there and float the bucket in your 150?
