It arrived!
My sump arrived today!! YAY! That means a shopping trip to home depot tomorrow and the weekend is spent plumbing the overflows and getting it wet! I'm very happy. It actually does fit under my stand (was afraid I made it too big) by sliding it in from the side and there is room for the pumps. Now I can get my skimmer running off a real pump and actually doing some skimming!!
Anyway here it is...will update more pics once its in place. http://www3.telus.net/bcwolfen/construction/sump.jpg Its 30"L x 16"W x 16"H. The baffles are 12" high. My wife is an assitant contractor so she had her acrylic folks make it for me. |
Looks good, who built it for you?
|
Valley Plastics out of Duncan. 1/4" acrylic :)

Looks real nicely built. Can't wait for a shot of it running...

Hi Gerald, looks good. Is the skimmer going in the sump? Are you using part of it as a refugium or DSB? Regards Ken

My skimmer is to tall to fit under the stand so it will go on stand behind the tank. My pump will go down below. My return pump is submersible so it will do into the return side of the sump.
I will have a fuge with a sand bed, LR and macro in the middle. |
Nice . . . Im so jealous!! . . . I want a sump like that when I get my 75 gal! . . How much did it cost you . . ??
