Need Help!!

Hey fellow reefers  Im moving onto a bigger setup and need ur opinions!!

I want a 72-79 gallon tank (as long as its 48" long). . . What skimmer should I use??

is an aquac remora enough for a 72 gallon?? (not the pro version) What about the prizm skimmer??

my lighting that I wanted to buy is 2x 250mh with two vho actinics by pfo . . . Is that enough to keep acro's and maxima's happy?? (tank should would be less than 20" H) LMK!!

ALSO for the lighting is $1200 a deal for that lighting setup?? Thats what i got quoted on at J&L aquatics burnaby . . . Thanks all.

I use the Remora on my 90 (Everyone else says it's too small) and have great water quality.

Marcus,

The protein skimmer would be fine if your stocking density is low & you don't overfeed. I on the other hand need a super skimmer for my 100g :frown:

By the way, got a 75g 4'x18"widex21"high, with pine stand available. Not drilled. PM me if interested.

I have 2 x 250 DE MH's with 260 W PC actinics running on my 77 G... SPS are growing like crazy
I made it myself.. and spent about $1100 all in with all new bulbs and solid maple DIY canopy. much nicer than PC lighting fo' sure\

I have 2 175w 10k metal halides and 2 40w actinic no's on my 75g and the 2 acros are growing great. I would think with 250w mh you could grow just about anything you wanted
