jumbo coco worms

Hi,

I just received a giant coco worm today; the length of the calcium body is around 8''. Sadly it arrived broken in half, the worm is still in one of the half, do you think it will be ok?? Or am I loosing my time acclimatizing the specimen??

Also I know these are not easy in the reef and that they are filter feeders, so I do use biolife plankton.

Thanks

Marco

marco,

It should be fine just put the piece with the worm in it in the sand or rockwork.. somewhere where it get a moderate amount of current. It should stay in its tube, it may however leave the tube and find a new spot to make a tube... hope it works out.
