New Rock...?

Hi All,
Just a Quick Question...

I bought some new rock (about 50lbs of tonga) from a local guy getting out of the hobby, and there is quite alot of "green flowy algea" on it..
Should I:
A: remove it now
B: leave it until the end of the cycle
OR
C: leave it because my future tang might want to eat it?

It's hair algae, scrub off as much as you can. In the end, you may be able to get a couple turbo snails to finish it off.

he munches on it, but defiantly like hair algae better.

I've also found that those extra large turbon snails (what's written on the tank) @ LFS d/t work really well on my hair algae problem. Bit of a bulldozer though.

Whats a "sea hair" Willow?

Willow 03-22-2005 12:16 AM

they are like snails without shells, very large and they eat a lot of hair algae.
