Red bubble algae - never seen it fluoresce before. Photo.
Hi all,
I have some deep red bubble algae on one rock. When I was away for the weekend, my frogsapawn was tipped over so it was leaning against some of it. When my actinics came on this morning, I noticed that two of the algae bubbles were fluorescing a bright pink colour. Has anyone ever seen this before? Any idea what caused it? I assumed there might have been a transfer of zoanthelae from the frogspawn but I don't know if that's even possible. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...galgae-med.jpg It'd be sweet if the rest of it would light up like that! - Chad |
