Has anbody tried using high pressure sodium bulbs on their tanks Would they work? I saw one today that gave off a whiteish blue light and it got me thinking Would they work? :question:

no such thing as white hps
 

sorry but hps is very yellow. has a very high levels of red spectrum which is "desirable" in getting vegetation to flower. even the bulbs that "try" to mix the hps with some MH properties are still very yellow to the human eye.

Has there been any studies done on the light spectrum of these bulbs :question:
