I've been contacted in the past by a good friend about a "work out of your own home" sort of job...but I'm still shady on the idea, just wondering if anyone does it, and is it as good as they say it is?

I actually got in a quarrel with the friend that asked me and somehow ended up in me saying they're earning an unhonest paycheck as I was being critisized for thinking about going to school to be a pharmacist...

you know its ads like these and some others on television that say "I made $20,000 just last month with my home business!" that crack me up. Ooh I want a home business! Selling what? I have no idea but the home business sounds great!

It reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer starts an internet business.

This industry moves so fast it's really hard to tell. That's why I need a name that's cutting-edge, like CutCo, EdgeCom, InterSlice... come on, Marge, you're good at these! Help me out!

Whats not to love about the Simpsons... :silly:

It's like amway, yes lots of people make lots of money but it's a ton of hard work. And even people who follow the plan and work their butts off and don't see their family for 5 years don't always make it.
I was in Amway for a fair time, I made some good friends and met alot of people. I think the last time I looked at it was the best time but I chose not to get into it again but am always giving it more thought ( I love sales).
Doing an internet based business has some benefits but there are always risks involved. If you want to try something like it ( I haven't looked at the link) then try to do it slowly, suppliment a regular job.
