no after i bought my filter a friend called him and he would not sell it to him. only way he would sell it was on ebay with the $25.00 USD shipping cost

Anyways, thats strange. I've heard of a few people who have ordered direct from Aqua-safe via phone. Heck, they even sent me an email encouraging me to order from them direct rather than through ebay. Maybe they've changed their tune?

I think what he means is they will not allow you to pick up the unit from their shop. I asked if I could pick it up a year ago and he said they only ship them, no will call. Still it`s worth it. jmho.
