Yes it does have a battery backup, Im using it on my power compacts. I mean I will as soon as I can figure out how to make the timer kick in , right now its a very nice on/off switch.... but got to admit I really havent looked at it very well, I refuse to read the directions LOL

timer

Can you guys let us know what you think about the times after you've had a little while to try them out?

I've been using them for about a year. They make great wavemakers as you can have them go on and off for up to 20 times a day and you can program it to the minute.

I bought mine for 7.99 though    with the gas coupon back then.

I bought 5 or 6 of them...

I am using them as well. They are great.
Think I got 2 for 18 bucks.

THere were digital timers on clearance at Totem in Sherwood Park Last week for $4.00 not sure about the bat backup though

A timer like that would definitely require a battery backup in order for me to buy it, can you imagine having to set the time and the on-off timer EVERY time the power went out? Major PITA.

Thanks for the tip! I need a couple for my garage too:)

i picked 3 of them up today. they look like pretty good units, they come with batteries and are fairly easy to program. for 12.50 you cant go wrong.
