looking for a 175W MH or similar output lighting system for my refugium....time for the 250W MH that i'm using to move on to bigger and better things.

let me know if you guys have anyhting available...or know of someone who does.

I have 2 175w halides on my 33 (on seperate ballasts). I was thinking of switching to one single 250w iwasaki instead. I'm not sure if you're in to any trades or anything?

what kinda ballasts are they? any old bulbs to go with them? how old are they? and what do you want for them?

Shao, if the lighting is just for growing macro algea, I'd recommend a mini halagen lamp instead of going halide.. You don't need the full spectrum for macro algea (from what I've been told).

You can get those 150w halagen shop lights at almost any hardware store I think.

Danny I'm only really interested in some type of trade, so I don't think I'd let it go too cheap. They are on 10k bulbs and I have a spare 55k venture 175w bulb too. I made a DIY reflector and socket mount for both.
