Mixing Carbonate + Calcium = Burning!!
 

I made a very stupid mistake today and mixed Seachem Carbonate and Seachem Calcium together thinking it'll save me time. I usually just mix them in a Yogurt container with my finger.

After putting the two together and adding water, the chemical reaction that resulted almost burned the skin off my finger.

After the fiasco I read the instructions and it mentioned that don't use the additives one after the other but rather a day a part. Now I know why.

Just a word of caution to anyone using chemicals, follow the instructions.
