coming back to canreef
hey , I'm planning a new build. Sold my 220 reef 3 yrs ago when I downsized from my house into a new penthouse. I missed my fish tanks, so sold the condo and am going back into a house again. This time , i'm building a dedicated fish room where I can house a 210 plus mixed reef and a 180 plus freshwater for Asian arrowana.
I haven't been on canreef for a few years. What happened to all the advertisers? Who are the main retailers in the lower mainland now besides J & L and King Ed? |
For reef/saltwater:
Canada Corals is opening up in Coquitlam across from Ikea, they're renovating right now. Shoreline is getting ready to open soon too. Both are open by appointments right now. There are other options but not great for selection. For fresh: Aquariums West Aprils Aquarium Fish Addicts Paul's Aquarium Rogers Aquatics |
On the exact same boat here. I've been a long time lurker here looking to hit the restart button when the times right. Now the at Covids in full swing, really trying to piece things together. I'd say KingEd n JL is your best bet especially with BlackFriday around the corner.
Has anyone had experiences purchasing from reefsupply online? OP, what do you have in mind for aquariums in newer apartments suites. Tried Pintrest and houzz, still finding a hard time looking for inspiration. |

I got to admit, with a reboot of my main display coming up, the thought of ditching reef and keeping asian arowanas is always in the back of my head! Look forward to seeing your set ups! |
