macro removal
 
what kind of fish would be a good candidate for this?my tank is not big enough for a foxface.

well if its not big enuf for a fox face it isn't big enuf for a tang so you are going to be limited.. probably a urchin and snails would be your best bet.

Yeah, my friend Matt had some urchins (tuxedoes & other spp) & they would eat through 3-4 bunches of my excess macro in a day or two. Watch out though because urchins will knock over anything loose as they wander about your tank. Can't you just pull out the macroalgae by hand? I harvest mine regularly & usually sell several bunches a week.
