just wondering what can be kept
Hi All,
i have a ninety gallon with about 70lbs of rock just added a pfo vho four lamp retro to tank{2x10kx2x03blue}. just wondering what corals and possible anemones could be kept under thers lights. thanks |
Hi,
What is the depth of your tank and what is the wattage of the bulbs? |
I have a 75g with the same lights and have sps corals that are all growing. You just have to have the sps up near the top. Any of the lps and softies would do all right as well providing all the water parameters are in line. I don't have anemones so i don't know about them.

Have you checked out this site yet? I think most of their systems are low light. http://www.garf.org/

There are actually a few anemoes you can put in your tank. BTAs are pretty easy going, I've had them under NO lighting.

Long tentacle anemones have decent survival rates in captivity compared to most spp. I have one in my 33g for over a year & it's doing great.
You should be able to keep a very wide range of softies, lps, even some sps (if water quality high & kept higher up) with your lighting set-up. Maybe try a clam. I have a Derasa under PC that's growing very well, although I do keep him high & feed him rotifers nightly. Good luck. |
