Shaving Brush's

A little while ago I posted some new tank pics (already out of date by now) and some people were interested in the shaving brush calerpa in my tank. I just thought some of you might be interested to know that the original brush hasn't grown much since I trimmed cyano off of it. However there are two chutes growing up from it's root system much like poplar or mayday tree chutes. If all goes well I may have some cilppings in the near future.

I would love to get one of those!

Let me know what you want for sale or trade and I will see what I can do. Not sure if a bunch of people have already claimed any yet, but put me down for consideration.

Wow, thanks for the replies guys. Right now there are 2 chutes that grow at a rate of about 1/4 inch a day. I'm still trying to think of the best way to prune them. Should I clip them at the stalk or at the root?
I guess we'll wait and see!

Strange thing! They are wierd little plants. The chutes that sprung from the root system have seemed to stop growing. They got to about 2 inches and then stopped. Tonight I'm going to try and separate the 2 chutes by cutting them at the root, perhaps I'll see some growth after. Either from the plant itself or more chutes.

Danny,
any luck on the brush chutes? I would also be interested if and when the time comes. It's a cool looking item.

They died, I'm the only one I know who can kill algae by accident.

Some macros can be pretty touchy, don't feel too bad.

One I would love to see more of, but have yet to see brought to Calgary, are those mermaid cup's you see in the Caribbean .. apparently they don't tend to last long in captivity either.
