Clown pair eggs
Oh kewl, I just came home and randomly looked under my h. magnifica noticing a clutch of orange eggs with my orange false perc female and black perc male close by... hrmmmmmmmm...
I don't know much about rearing clowns, but I presume you'd have to transfer the rock and parents to another tank to raise them? I don't even have another tank setup... hrmm... I wonder what the fry would end up looking like? JT |

OOoooowww Awww.....
SUPER KEWL! |
Just the rock I think, parents can stay behind... the main concern is feeding the fry.

OMG Quinn! Your a night owl like us? Hehe
I ment how does one go to feed fry? Now I'm curious... perhaps hatching your own brine shrimp? Hey what a sec... takin the parents away? Really? |
So I should start cycling my empty 10 gal just to put this rock in? I just want to make sure they'll have a viable chance at surviving if I try all of this out... if yes, then I'll consult my Wilkerson book for the rest :)

From what I heard & saw at Jack & Wendel's (Ocean Aquatics), you'll need two or three running cultures of rotifers to keep them fed & alive. It's time-consuming, which is why they're getting out of the clownfish breeding biz. I have several gallons of rotifers, but I don't know if its worth it to you to ship some (probably $$$ for shipping). See if there are any local cultures that you can get a hold of. I feed rotifers to my corals, clams & stuff & they love it  By the way, I got my starter culture from OA.
