Algea ID please.
 

I have this purpleish Algea reeking havok on my 7g nano. Any Ideas how to get rid of it? Hermits dont seem to be touching it.

Try a turbo snail or two.

Turbo... hey. I'll try anything right about now.
Its really more like a weed rather than hair algea. It is very course.

Can you get a better picture?

I'd suggest searching up "new tank" or "Algae problems" This problem has been answered many times.

Even if you can't identify the exact species you may be able to resolve the problem.
This Macro algae may also be doing you a favour by consuming allot of the excess nutrients, which otherwise could be causing a green algaebloom or many other various problems.
