What is this? Possibly a scallop? I added one years ago and it disappeared and I have been told they have a short life span so I did not worry about it

I've found hitchhiker clams, oysters and mussels in my live rock over the years. Some that didn't show up for a while (may have been babies or even fertilized eggs when the rocks were first added to the display).

If it moves or shuts, its probably a siphon mouth of a mollusk. If it doesn't, it may be a sponge of some sort.

Maybe you could try to get a better pic? What are you using to take the pic and what type of lights?

Ok I will try to get a better pic. Took the photo with my iPhone and it's under led lighting
