New bulb pictures.
Some of you wanted to see pictures of the new bulbs. Well here they are! The pictures are not quite fair with regards to the real color of the actual tank. The new bulb pictures are not quite the right color but it is a comparison non the less of how the camera perceives the three different shots.
Anyway 1st picture is of the way my tank was. It was 2 x 400w radiums (13 months old) and 2 x 250w Sun Aquatics 10K bulbs(8 months old). http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...0088-1-med.JPG 2nd picture is of the new 14K Sun Aquatics bulb. So in this picture there is 2 x 400W Sun Aquatics 14K bulbs (New) and 2 x 250W Sun Aquatics 10K bulbs(8 months old). http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...0089-1-med.JPG 3rd picture is of the new 20K Sun Aquatics bulb. So in this picture there is 2 x 400W Sun Aquatics 20K bulbs(new) and 2 x 250W Sun Aquatics 10K bulbs (8 months old). http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...0090-1-med.JPG Here are some pics of just the new Sun Aquatic bulbs. 1st one is of the 2 x 400W 20K bulbs by themselves. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...0091-1-med.JPG 2nd one is of just the 2 x 400W 14K bulbs by themselves. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...0092-1-med.JPG I am sticking with the 14K bulbs because in real life (not camera pics) they have a different hint of blue to them which is maybe what I'm looking for. They were very similar in their look when combined with the 10K bulbs though. Enjoy! |
Looking good Jon.
