In town at Wai's for the bulkheads. Western pump (1143 42 Ave SE) for the gatevalve. Might I suggest a ball valve? What is it for?

Its for a skimmer and i think im goin to go with a ball valve. You wouldnt happen to know what it costs a wais would you. I think big als sell them for 17 or so.

If its for a skimmer, I think I would use a gate valve. You have much finer control with a gate valve.

The ball valve I am using is a 1.5 " from Western pump. There is no restriction when turning the ball valve which is why I use it. Most Ball valves take some effort to move which could make them difficult to use.

Mine works great though!

Generally ball valves work better in the long term then gate valves in saltwater from what I have heard. I personally have not used gate valves so I really base this on hear say...thats my disclaimer.

Edit: Those J & L bulkheads do look good anyone have them? I like the feature you need less wall space behind your tank for them.
