F/T Pearlscale Butterfly

I got this guy to destroy some Button Polyps. Unfortunately he shows no interest in those. Instead he attacks my Brains, and other things I would like to keep. Therefore I will be catching him tomorrow, and relegating him to a 15 gallon tank. Does anyone want to spare him from that fate, and possibly trade me something interesting  . If you have nothing to trade, and are running a FOWLR, please take him off my hands. He is a fine fish otherwise. :frown:

Hey Bob ... The owner of our company is setting up a tank with my help  ... I am sure that he would be interested ... but we are just setting up the plumbing in the next couple days and watertest the tank ... prolly will be a couple weeks before it is running to my liking and cycled sufficiently.

I would take him temporarily but since I am moving it would be too much stress as it is on my current inhabitants as it is.

If noone takes him in a couple weeks then give me a call ... or if somebody else has room in their sumps to keep him till the tank is ready that would work too.

How big is it now. I have a 50 gallon FOWLR tank, which is probably the minimum for a butterfly. There are two bullyish damsels in there now, so I'm not sure how well he would do with them. If he's big enough to tolerate the damsels, I'd be interested in taking him. Let me know what you think of that situation, if you think he'd be better off in the 15 gallon tank, no problem.

I have a 500 gallon FOWLR system that has mostly angels and tangs. I do have a pair of Golden Butterflies and a Red Sea version of the Pearlscale Butterfly. I'd be happy to take your fish, but unfortunately, I don't think I have anything good to trade you since I don't have a reef tank. Let me know.

Thanks

To those who have showed an interest, but have nothing to trade. That is not a problem. I will be happy to accept a honorarium of some cash, $10.00 & up will be fine. The most important thing is to get this guy off to a good home. I will be catching him tomorrow (Saturday). Please contact me @828-1350, and come and get him.

If Perodogo wants him, I think he certainly has the better home for it. The more I think and read up on it, the more I worry about these two damsels of mine harassing it too much. I think I need to stick with tougher tankmates for them.

I have to say this guy is very feisty. The previous owner says it had no trouble handling a Tang. It is entirely up to whosoever wants the fish. You need not base your judgement on what its potential tankmates will be.

Assuming BMW is not having second thoughts, I'll take the fish if you'll take $10 for him. My son has a hockey game in Cochrane on Saturday at 9 AM so I'll be able to pick up the fish on my way home, say around noonish. I'll call you before then to see if the timing will work.

Thanks,
Rico

That sounds perfect.

The fish has been picked up, and moved to his new premises.
