Mangroves Flowering !
Exciting News!!!
I usually don't post on Canreef; however, today I came home to find my Mangroves have started to flower. They are almost seven years old and more than six feet tall. These are the same mangroves as the above, I had photos spanning their full life time but Imageshack stopped free hosting and got rid of them :sad:. Cmooonnnnnnnn PODS! |
So I was cleaning them off and noticed that they actually have tiny pods.

Mangrove Pods
According to a program called Bahama Blue, Mangrove pods develop into complete miniature 'trees' before they are dropped by their parent tree into the water - where the camera followed one where it landed upright and ready to root.
