Interest is fading

I have finally got my new RSM 250 to the point where it's easy to look after, unfortunately my interest is just not there like it used to be and I'm considering shutting down. I'm in no hurry so will not sell at blow out or sale prices, PM me if you are interested in a very nice tank with great components You can check my signature and see what the tank has.

Really, Laurie!!?? I just saw your tank and it is looking great! And with your set-up, looks pretty easy to maintain and keep going...

Most of us go through periods of increased and then waning interest. Just hang in there and enjoy it for a while.

Nooooo. Don't leave me alone with all these young pups.

Just turn off your return pump for awhile and then when everything goes haywire, your right back to fixing everything and interest rises...Hell, just wait a week and something will come up on its own..Always seems to....

:D

Could it be you've mastered salt water reefkeeping? (In jest). Perhaps try breeding pandas or white rhinos now?

...or upgrade, that's my pick.

Laurieeeee, don't do it! Go FOWLR or all feather dusters or something. Don't shut it down, it'll be way harder to get back in when the itch strikes you (and it will!)

Reef Pilot 09-22-2015 11:16 PM

You know, this kind of talk can be contagious...

Wretch 09-22-2015 11:31 PM

You can just run an algae and snail tank like me. Its so gratifying.

Myka 09-22-2015 11:44 PM

I start to lose interest sometimes too. That's probably the main reason I've shut down nearly every tank I've ever owned. If it's the tank you really want, just keep plugging along - the interest will come back. Go do some reef things like visit an aquarium or take a dive vacation or something.
