Do Fish have ears?

I'm thinking of putting a tank in my home theatre room where it gets very loud. But I won't do it if the fish gonna die because they get stressed. Thanks for the info.

Lol reason wife wants the tank out of her face lol.

Fish sense noise as a vibration using their lateral line. They also do have "ears" called otoliths. My fish don't seem to mind when we have our sound system turned up loud. Sometimes it's on for hours as we play music while we're outside.

Just don't play any country music and you should be fine:mrgreen:

As long as you are not keeping Discus on that tank, it should be fine.

I have my tank in the family room facing my home theatre, fish and corals are fine.
