My pair of Genicanthus Semifasciatus
I love the Genicanthus genus because males and females display different colors and patterns. With all the species in this genus, I like G. Semifasciatus (masked swallow tail) the most because males and females look like two species.
I have a female and male G. Semifasciatus for almost 2 years now. When I first bought them, the male was still in transition phase (not much yellow, little vertical bars). 2 years later, the male has completed the transition and becomes a beautiful fish. Better yet, in the last few months, I notice the male and female are engaging in courting rituals. First some pictures of the fish: The female: http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...e82e010521.jpg The male http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...f79929a0c6.jpg The pair http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...7d2841daf9.jpg And last but not least, a short clip of their mating dance. https://youtu.be/SXerLoejDus |
Beautiful! They look big too! I love the Genicanthus genus as well.
